B.U.G. Honor Roll
We currently sponsor the B.U.G. Honor Roll at two local elementary schools: Cahokia School of Choice and Huffman.
Results for 3rd quarter include:
54 Students at CSC, 48 at Huffman!!!
Cahokia McDonald's has graciously supported our program again with coupons!
On Friday, January 28, 2011, approximately 43 Huffman Elementary Students were awarded the 1st set of B.U.G. Honor Roll Certificates at that school. In order to qualify for B.U.G. (Bringing Up Grades) Honor Roll, the student must have brought up at least one grade without lowering the letter grade in any other subject. Cahokia McDonald's donated certificates for either a free Ice Cream Cone, Hamburger/Cheeseburger, or Small Fry for the students to pick from. The students were extremely excited. In the coming weeks Kiwanis members will be visiting each classroom to explain in detail the BUG Program and help the students set goals using the SMART method, in hopes that we increase the amount of awards given.

Pancake Breakfast
May 7, 2011 --- We are looking for donations for this event. In the past we have purchased all of the materials. So, in order to decrease the cost, with the help of the local Rotary Club, we will be in search of donations of materials such as:
- Orange Juice (Rotary Acquiring Donation)
- Apple Juice
- Milk (Rotary Acquiring Donation)
- Cups (McDonalds)
- Napkins (McDonalds)
- Plates/Platters (McDonalds)
- Sausage
- Biscuits/Biscuit Mix
- Gravy
- Plastic Ware
- Syrup
- Butter
- Eggs (liquid egg mix)
- Salt/Pepper shakers
